The Wind... It is blowing.

Our topic for the Avalanche Art Blog was The Legend of Zelda. And this was my doing! I've always felt like Zelda has been the most influential to me out of all the video games, so I didn't want to take this challenge lightly. That's why it took me such a long time.

A part of me wants to make MORE Zelda art... after all, there's still Ocarina of time, some of those classics from the NES and SNES, or maybe even a preemptive strike on Skyward Sword.

I always want to make more art than I have time for.

Catching up...

I haven't posted here for a long time so, I'll try and put a little bit more art on this blog. Both of these are pictures made for the Avalanche Art Blog.

Here, the topic was "Trolls", so I drew my favorite troll, Danny Devito. You gotta pay the troll toll to get in.

For this one, the Topic was "Santa", so I reached deep down into my childhood memories to recall one of the many holiday movies attempting to attain that coveted perennial Christmas profitability. Rather than choose something by Rankin Bass, I went with Santa Claus: The Movie, a mid-80's affair that was only notable for its blandness and brief inclusion of Burgess Meredith (The Penguin!). OH... and also yet another incredible performance by the wonderful John Lithgow! I could watch this holiday turd over and over again just for the Lithgow parts. Santa never directly confronted Lithgow in the movie, but this is what I imagined their fight scene to look like.

This was just a picture for the Avalanche Art Blog, for one of their old challenges. Watching Lost is something to do on a Wednesday while you're drawing, and it has actually gotten better since a few seasons ago when it wasn't that great. Unfortunately, my favorite character Sawyer hasn't been up to form lately. He used to be the most delightful jerk, but lately he's been a big softy. I guess characters change over the course of time and that's something viewers have to deal with.

Wilford Brimley should be commended for his efforts to bring convenient diabeetus testing supplies to the masses. I colored this, but it came from lineart of a highland warrior created by Joe Olson, which I edited. You can find the original here.

The Witches

This was a picture done for practice at work. We were given a witch theme, and I've always thought Anjelica Huston was a pretty good witch.

Star Wars alien

A stupid Star Wars character. Do you remember seeing him in the Cantina? He was the guy who sneezed and was thrown out of the place.
