Cheating with some Photoshopping again.

19th Century Middle-Class Japanese

With as excited as I was to get to a Japanese character, you'd think I would have had less trouble making it. I tried three times, and I'm not 100% happy with this one. I just wish I hadn't gone with "fat guy" again.

16th Century French Lady of the Court

Far from the fluffiest and most impractical dress in my costume encyclopedia, but still not a comfy-looking one. This piece was altered a bit through Photoshop, and you can see the original here:

I'm starting to get more confident with markers, but I still have a lot to learn. They're fun!

Byzantine Knight

I'm getting back into using markers again, and I learned on this piece that you need to wait a bit longer for the ink to dry before you lay the markers down.

The Pumpkin this Year

I told a kid he'd get an extra piece of candy if he could guess what game this character is from. After a long pause, he said, "Mario?" His dad thought it was Mr. Do. Dad gets points for at least knowing the name of an obscure game character.

Believe it or not kids, Final Fantasy 7 wasn't the first Final Fantasy game they made.

I gave the kid an extra piece of candy anyway.

Happy Halloween, everybody.

The Wind... It is blowing.

Our topic for the Avalanche Art Blog was The Legend of Zelda. And this was my doing! I've always felt like Zelda has been the most influential to me out of all the video games, so I didn't want to take this challenge lightly. That's why it took me such a long time.

A part of me wants to make MORE Zelda art... after all, there's still Ocarina of time, some of those classics from the NES and SNES, or maybe even a preemptive strike on Skyward Sword.

I always want to make more art than I have time for.

More Pumpkins

No, these were done at Halloween, not just recently.
